In response to the rapid advancement of technology and the rise of digitalization, a group of elite professionals from Taiwan’s game development industry came together to establish the Taiwan Digital Entertainment Association (TDEA). Officially approved by the Ministry of the Interior on September 30, 2004 (Document No. 0930040874), the association has thrived under the leadership of several chairpersons over the past two decades, including “Mr. Lee Ko-Chu, Mr. Lu Kun-Mou, Mr. Wei Ming-Shan, and Mr. Tsai Chi-Ming.”
The Association is committed to promoting digital leisure and entertainment, supporting industry growth, and maintaining a forward-looking yet pragmatic approach to stay ahead of emerging trends. Its key missions include:
• Leveraging collective efforts to strengthen the organization and drive the development of the digital gaming industry;
• Actively promoting international trade and market expansion;
• Building a communication platform between the industry and the government;
• Assisting the government in the implementation of effective regulatory policies;
• Fulfilling corporate social responsibility and giving back to society;
• Advancing global connections to secure strategic advantages.
With these efforts, the Association strives to create a promising future for Taiwan’s game development industry.
