
GTI Taipei Exhibition makes a strong comeback after four years, showcasing Taiwan's innovative strength to the world
The only commercial arcade game industry exhibition in Taiwan, organized by the Republic of China Taiwan Commercial Electronic Game Machine Industry Association (TAMA) and the Taiwan Digital Leisure and Entertainment Industry Association (TDEA), the "Taiwan International Arcade Game Machine Exhibition" (abbreviated as GTI Taipei Exhibition) was held from April 26 to 28 at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. This marks the first official return of the GTI Taipei Exhibition since it was suspended in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing together the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors of Taiwan's commercial arcade game industry to showcase Taiwan's game development and manufacturing capabilities.
The gaming industry showcases innovative and creative operational soft power
President Tsai stated in her opening speech that over 90% of the revenue in the electronic gaming industry now comes from exports, with export destinations reaching over 70 countries, and last year's output value exceeding 30 billion NTD. Taiwan's electronic gaming industry is thriving, demonstrating Taiwan's innovative strength to the world, and the various machines displayed today are remarkable achievements.
This year's industry chain features over fifty exhibitors, with the largest being IGS ( International Games System) showcasing multiple new arcade games, including racing games "Wild Speed 9 - Racing Legend DX", "Extreme Snowmobile", "Wild Speed - Lightning Motorcycle DX", "Speed Rider 3 DX", shooting game "Monster Catastrophe 3", motion-sensing games "Kamen Rider: Justice Transformation", "Ultraman Series: Transformation Battle", and arcade experiences that combine large arcade machines with virtual reality games "Wild Speed 9 - Racing Legend VR", "Treasure Voyage VR", "Victory Motorcycle VR", as well as many other family-friendly arcade machines, providing visitors with the opportunity to experience fun arcade gaming.
In addition, major claw machine manufacturers such as FEILOLI Electronic , Paokai Electronics, FATENG Amusement, and Youal-Jifh Technology have also brought a variety of claw machines, along with various machines from other manufacturers including marble tables, sticker machines, slot machines, coin pushers, bingo machines, and American-style claw machines, as well as cash machines, coin counting machines, cash dispensers, card issuing machines, frames, screens, and wiring products, aiming to combine innovative and creative operational soft power to let the world see that Taiwan is not only about electronic wafers and technology industries, but also has a unique global business model that drives the consumption economy of recreational and educational products.
