TAGE Taipei Exhibition: A Fresh Start Towards a Grand Ambition
Since its inception in 1993, the Taiwan Amusement & Gaming Expo (TAGE) has grown into a pivotal platform for the arcade gaming machine industry across Asia. Originally known as the GTI Taipei Exhibition, the event is now co-hosted by the Taiwan Amusement Machine Association (TAMA) and the Taiwan Digital Entertainment Association (TDEA), with Information Station (Hot Games) serving as a co-organizer. After more than three decades of dedicated development, the TAGE Taipei Exhibition has successfully transformed into a market-oriented international event. It emphasizes export-focused engagement, reinforces connections across the Asia-Pacific region, and expands its global reach.
In response to global exhibition trends, the event’s former name could no longer fully reflect its international positioning and unique characteristics. Drawing inspiration from successful rebranding cases in the international exhibition arena, such as the UK’s ATEI becoming ICE and the US’s AMOA becoming AEI, the TAGE Taipei Exhibition has undergone a comprehensive brand upgrade. This transformation aims to attract more overseas buyers and partners, strengthen the global influence of Taiwan’s arcade gaming industry, and underscore Taiwan’s pivotal role in the international market.
The exhibition showcases a diverse range of products, covering entertainment, puzzles, gaming, online gaming, and mobile gaming categories. It also serves as a platform to advance technological development, facilitate information exchange, and promote commercial interaction. The event has drawn significant attention and received strong recognition from relevant government agencies and industry associations. By driving the overall progress of Taiwan’s gaming industry, the TAGE Taipei Expo establishes itself as an influential platform for presentation and exchange – an unmissable event for the industry.
